Charles Ignatius "Charlie"
Cryer, son of
William B. Cryer and Lucinda Johnson, was born June 26, 1907 in
Washington, D.C. He died January 18, 1965 of emphysema and is buried
in Our Lady's RCC. He married Alberta Agnes
Stone, born February 16, 1908.
Interestingly Alberta remarried after Charlies death, to -
William "Rhodie" Cryer. She died April 22,
1977 of cancer and is also buried in Our Lady's RCC. She was the
daughter of Joseph Ford and Mary Catherine
Stone, so two of the Cryer boys married Stone girls (Thomas and
Charles). Charlie ran the Standard Linen Towel service in Washington
D.C. for many years before becoming an owner/driver for the Diamond Cab
Co.
