John T. Johnson, son of Uriah & Clarissa (Sherkley) Johnson, was born in 1853/54 and was married twice.  His first wife was  Ann Elizabeth Alvey (b. 1856/57, d. April 26, 1887) aged 30.  Her father was James H. Alvey.  John & Ann were married on January 19, 1886.  Ann is buried at All Faith Episcopal Cemetery, Charlotte Hall, Maryland. 

Their only child was:

John's second wife was Mary A. Gibbons (b. November, 1872 and d. Aft. 1900).  They were married December 6, 1893 in Washington, D.C. John T. Johnson was appointed, on May 17, 1899, Collector of State and County Taxes for St. Mary's County for the year of 1899. (Must have made him a popular man in the community).
