FOOTNOTES
[1] John Spencer
died at 10 mos. of age on November 17, 1886.
From the St.
Mary's Beacon, Nov. 25, 1886 here is the the obituary for John Spencer:
"Departed this life,
November 17, 1886, JOHN SPENCER, infant son of John A. and Mary A.
Johnson, aged 10 months and 16 days.
Lonely the house and sad
the hours
Since our dear little
Spencer is gone
But Oh a brighter home
than ours
Is now in heaven his
own.
Farewell, parents and
little brother too
For no longer shall I
stay with you
I leave you here your
troubles to bear
While I go to Heaven a
crown to wear.
