"Taylor" Johnson, son of
Joseph & Roseann
Knott Johnson, was born on September 1, 1847 and died after 1926.
He married Mary Emily Mattingly at St. Joseph RCC on May 20, 1872.
She was born on February 11, 1847 and died on May 8, 1926 at the State
Institution, in Catonsville, Maryland. She was the daughter of
George W. Mattingly.
Taylor Johnson
was living with Henry and Julia Knott in 1860. He was living with
his sister, Elizabeth Milburn in 1870. J.R. Taylor Johnson and his
wife gave the colored glass window to Holy Angels RCC in 1905. In
1910 he and his wife and their adopted son lived on Miletone-Oakley Rd.
Mary E. Johnson willed that after he husband's dath her property was to be
sold and the money given to the Catholic churches. Her husband
protested the will. there is a large double tombstone in old St.
Joseph RCC showing Taylor and Emily with birth dates, but no dates of
death are given.
