Peter Johnson, son of
John & Mary, married Grace Mattingly, the widow of John Mattingly. Peter and Grace
had no children as a result of their marriage. Grace, however, had three
children by her first marriage. Peter
willed,
will probated April 8, 1747, Will Book T.A.1, p. 188, that
they be paid their estates left by their father John Mattingly of 38
pounds and 8 shillings, to be kept by his wife until they arrive of age.
