Mary "Polly" Johnson,
daughter of James Johnson and Mary _____,
was born 1799. She died March 8, 1860 and is buried in "old" St.
Joseph RCC Cemetery. She married John H.
Leach January 2, 1828. He was born
abt. 1795 and died after 1880. John and Mary had three children as
shown in Mary Leach's will. Their son John died before his mother
and she left 90 acres of the farm she lived on, bounded on one side
by Three Notched Road and Brints Road, to his (John's) wife
Virginia, and at her death to go to John & Virginia's children. She
left the remainder of the farm called Della Brooke Manor (217 acres)
to her husband John H. Leach. They had a daughter Georgeanna, who
married a Burroughs and another daughter, Catherine, who married a
Pouton. |
